Rotogravure Cylinder Manufacturing
Gravure cylinders prepared for your press
HUAYN prepares rotogravure cylinders using German HELL electronic engraving equipment. The work starts with the approved artwork and the press specification, so cylinder preparation and printing use the same production information.
Information needed for a quotation
Send the artwork files, number of designs and colours, printing repeat, cylinder face length and the required mounting specification or drawing. Include the film structure, printing side, intended ink system and colour reference. If you are replacing an existing set, identify which cylinders and artwork versions are to be reused.
Approve the artwork before engraving
Confirm dimensions, separations, trapping, text and barcode placement before releasing the engraving data. Fine details and colour expectations should be assessed through an agreed proof or printed sample. Cylinder preparation does not by itself establish the appearance of every film, ink and press combination.
For a connected production order, review our prepress service and flexible packaging printing. The quote should state where cylinder supply ends and any proofing or press support begins.

Approval, checks and delivery
Agree the cylinder specification, artwork revision and required checks before production. Identify the records or samples to be supplied with the order, including any dimensions, proofs or inspection results the receiving pressroom needs.
Before dispatch, finished cylinders are checked against the agreed job requirements. The handover should identify the cylinder set and its approved artwork version so the customer can match the tooling to the intended job.
For repeat work, confirm cylinder identification, storage arrangements and any artwork changes. Delivery timing and the scope of technical support are agreed for each order.
