Review a snack pouch redesign for panel placement, fine line work, finish and flavour variants before approving artwork for gravure cylinder preparation.
Application and work scope
A snack pouch redesign changes how the pack looks while still needing to fit the production format. These notes focus on stand-up pouch artwork, including fine line work and a matte finish where specified.
Start by identifying what must remain unchanged: pack dimensions, filling-line requirements, required text and any approved brand reference.
Review the pack as a filled object
Mark the gusset, seal areas, opening feature and zipper position on the dieline. Check the main design when the pouch stands and when its panels curve around the product. Review where flavour names, weights and codes fall.
List every variant and check its copy independently. Similar-looking designs still need a reliable link between the file name and the intended product.
Translate the design into print requirements
Provide final-size line work and small text for prepress review. Identify the intended matte and gloss areas and the agreed colour reference. Request a relevant sample for details that a layout PDF cannot settle.
HUAYN coordinates the approved artwork with cylinder preparation. See packaging prepress and the colour approval guide for the information to include.
Release the redesign with a defined reference
Record approval of each variant, the artwork revision and the finish specification. Set the inspection criteria before printing. The finished packaging is checked before dispatch, with identified nonconforming products removed from the delivery batch.
Send the existing pack, proposed artwork and quantity by variant when requesting a redesign review. A launch-date comparison needs the actual approval and production schedule for that job.
