Production Workflow
Follow the decisions from packaging brief and artwork approval through cylinder release, printing checks and dispatch, with revision responsibilities defined.
From brief to production release
This workflow guide describes the handoffs in a flexible packaging order. It is intended for teams coordinating design, cylinder preparation, printing and delivery. HUAYN connects those stages through an agreed production brief.
Begin with the pack format, material requirements, dimensions, number of designs and quantity. Identify who can approve artwork, technical specifications and delivery changes.
Keep a revision from splitting the job
An artwork change can affect cylinder data and the printing plan. Use a revision identifier and a named approver at each release. Keep unresolved questions separate from approved information so the next team can see what is ready.
If the product, film or pack dimensions change, review the affected requirements before continuing. A previous colour or sealing approval may not cover the changed construction.
Use clear approval checkpoints
Confirm the specification and files to be reviewed.
Approve the artwork and required proof or sample.
Release the cylinder data against that revision.
Confirm printing and finished-pack acceptance criteria.
Review the packing and dispatch information for the order.
The scope of prepress, cylinder preparation and delivery coordination should be visible in the quotation.
Close the handover
Retain the approved files, relevant samples and order references for repeat work. Confirm which inspection or shipment records the customer needs before dispatch.
Agree project timing against actual approval dates and production arrangements. This process does not establish a fixed time saving for every order. Send the available files and target date so the remaining work can be assessed.
