Gravure cylinders for a packaging range
サービス:
Gravure Cylinder Production
業種:
Flexible Packaging
Coordinate artwork versions, press dimensions and cylinder identification for a packaging range, with clear approvals before engraving and repeat orders.
Application and work scope
A packaging range may contain several designs that share a format but differ in colour or copy. These production notes cover the information needed to keep artwork and gravure cylinder preparation aligned across that range.
HUAYN uses HELL electronic engraving in its cylinder workflow. The production brief connects the approved design to the cylinder dimensions and press requirements.
Map the designs before engraving
Create a design list with the artwork version, colour sequence and required cylinder references for each item. Identify common and changed elements with the prepress team; do not assume two similar designs can use the same tooling without review.
Confirm the repeat, face length and mounting details from the receiving press specification. Resolve discrepancies between drawings and earlier order records before release.
Control revisions at the handover
Approve the separations, trapping, fine text and colour references before engraving data is released. If the customer changes an artwork file afterwards, identify the affected cylinders and the approval that needs to be repeated.
The cylinder service sets out the quotation inputs. Where printing is included, carry the same job references into the press brief.
Receipt and repeat-order preparation
Agree the checks and records required at delivery, and identify each cylinder with its intended job. Before a repeat order, confirm the retained set, artwork revision and any material or print changes.
Provide the previous order reference and current press details when requesting an assessment. Setup-time or print-performance comparisons require records from the relevant jobs and operating conditions.
