Flexible Packaging
Define colour, white backing, matte or gloss effects and registration requirements for printed flexible packaging before the press run is approved.
Application and work scope
Multilayer pouches can combine printed graphics with transparent, metallic, matte or gloss areas. These application notes explain how to turn that appearance into a production brief. The final structure and finish must be confirmed for the particular product.
HUAYN coordinates artwork approval, cylinder preparation and printing requirements. Keep the approved artwork version with the material and colour references.
Resolve the appearance on the intended material
Identify which areas need white backing, which should reveal the substrate and where a surface finish changes. Mark those areas in the artwork rather than relying on a screen image alone.
Agree how each effect will be assessed. Where a proof cannot represent the intended appearance, identify the printed or finished sample required for approval.
Set up the production checks
Separate the colour target from registration, fine-detail reproduction and surface appearance. For measurements, define the reference, method and acceptance tolerance. Keep the material specification with the approval record so a later film change is visible.
Review the colour approval guide alongside the printing service when preparing the order.
Judge the delivery batch on agreed criteria
Finished packaging is inspected before dispatch, and products identified as nonconforming are removed from the delivery batch. Shipment quality and manufacturing waste are separate measures.
Any acceptance-rate report should identify the batch, sample size and inspection criteria, and state whether the result describes original output or the sorted shipment. Send the artwork and intended finish for a project-specific quotation.
